Grayscale Founder Barry Silbert Returns as Board Chair Amid Management Expansion
Barry Silbert, founder of Grayscale Investments, has resumed his role as board chairman in a strategic MOVE signaling the digital asset manager's preparation for its next growth phase. His return coincides with the appointment of four new executives to the firm's C-suite.
Diana Zhang joins as chief operating officer, Ramona Boston as chief marketing officer, Maxwell Rosenthal as chief human resources officer, and Andrea Williams as chief communications officer. The quartet will report to CEO Peter Mintzberg, who emphasized the team's blend of traditional finance expertise and digital asset innovation.
Silbert's reappointment follows his 2023 departure, with former chair Mark Shifke transitioning to board member. The leadership overhaul positions Grayscale to scale operations while meeting client needs and shareholder expectations.
